Sazama Research Group
on Applied Catalysis
The philosophy of our research
Address the serious questions and problems of society that can be answered by new or more efficient catalytic processes. Typically, this concerns the issue of catalysts for reducing environmental pollution (reducing emissions from automobile traffic, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing emissions from industry) and developing catalytic processes for sustainable and more efficient chemical production.

PhD studies
Are you looking for excellent research opportunities for your PhD studies? We look for creative students having the ability to think outside the box in order to fix complex problems.
Dr. Petr Sazama
J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the CAS
The central research theme of the Sazama group is the development of fundamental understanding of the structure and catalytic properties of nanomaterials. The acquired results of the fundamental research are exploited in the development of large scale production of catalysts and catalytic processes.
